This is not a Simulation!

I know there is a post below promising a coming soon that never come about London, but the fact is that I'm now in Boston (please don't ask what I'm doing here now .. that is for another entry). Anyway I was ready to write about my first visit to the United State of America, in this week I had fun and I walked all around the city trying to catch it essence, but when I felt inspired to write ...BEE! BEE! BEE! the fire alarm of my hotel room started. I though well this guys are always doing simulations, but then I heard very clearly the fatal sentence "THIS IS NOT A SIMULATION THIS IS NOT A SIMULATION" eh? I'm in the last floor guys! I just have time to take my trousers and obviously my pocket camera! I ran downstairs and the alarm was always playing more loud BEE BEE BEE THIS BUILDING IS UNDER EMERGENCY ... oh my God, oh our God! each floor I was looking if it was warm or if I can see flames. Finally I arrived downstairs, some people where smoking outside and chatting like nothing was happened (but that was not the reason of the alarm), then I went to the lobby and finally I heard what I want to hear: "We are sorry False alarm Sir". False Alarm? I nearly had a heart attach! At that moment all the guests started to arrive and of course our guys the Fire Fighters as well .. man they look like the ones on TV, I though :) So I did the photo!

Who knows me will say: "Raff this things always happen to you" and what can I say? is true, I took seat and start to think:"Raff are you stupid?, why you took the camera in a situation like this?" then I started to look around to all the other guys, they where in pajamas but with their laptops switched on man, their laptops switched on ;)

ONE LOVE! Bob Marley (Death) Anniversary, 11 May 1981

Mama Elizabeth and ZuorioIf just few years ago when I was a rasta kid in Bari (south Italy) someone have told me that I would celebrate a Bob Marley aniversary in a Island in West Africa dancing live reggae music on the sand under the moon I would say: stop dreaming my friend. Well sometimes dreams come true and thanks to my friend Bami, who invited me, this time the dream really happened. I arrived to Tarkwa Bay at 6:00pm and we went to the village to meet some friends. I have been many times in Tarkwa but that was my first day in the village. I felt like if I was in a movie or in a dream, walking around with my rasta friends, Bob's music everywhere and the warm people of the village that made me feel like at home. The party was great and I'll talk about it later, but the best part of that night was the hospitality I received in Mama's Elizabeth House. She saw me and she told me: "you cannot go the party without dinner". She invite me to her house where I met his husband and the rest of her lovely family. She cooked me a fantastic pasta and we spent a couple of hours chatting all together with only illumination of the light of the moon (in Tarkwa there is no public electricity) and the soundtrack of the sea. Then we went to the beach the band was there playing, we danced and enjoined all the night. We came back walking and talking about how Bob's world wide influence, about how the world would be different if he would be still alive, and comparing his influence with Fela's experience. The next morning sweet Mama Elizabeth prepared a wonderful breakfeast, we talked about the party and how I enjoyed it. It was very difficult to take the boat that brought me back to the city and leave all that peaceful atmosphere behind me. Today I'm writing from my house in London, I can close my eyes and I can still feel the breeze of the Benin Gulf, the music, the friendship and the warm of the house of the family that treat me just like another son. One Love!
